“Oh you even have to work Christmas day?” they ask in disbelief. I’m talking about my winter gig, working for a ski resort in North Idaho.
“Yeah, when the sun shines you gotta make hay,” I say. They give me a funny look.
I guess the metaphor works better in the when I’m talking to guests on the river…in the summer.

An art exhibit in Rosario, Argentina. This artist put thousands of used water bottles together and hung them from the ceiling. The experience was like floating in the clouds!
